Based on the high-definition black and white ultrasound technology, FDC6000 and FDC8000 color Doppler ultrasound system have introduced the color Doppler technology. The color Doppler ultrasound system can generate color Doppler ultrasound flow image, providing both the advantage of 2D ultrasound structure images and the abundant information on haemodynamics.

This system can display the planar distribution and directions of the flows fast and intuitively. It can also help distinguish the arteries and veins, identifying vascular diseases and non vascular disease, and understanding the quality, direction, and speed of the blood flowing. The quantitative analysis on the source, width, length, area of the blood flowing becomes available, too.

With such advantages, color Doppler ultrasound system can make diagnoses more clear than the simple black and white ones. The diagnoses on some superficial tissues and organs such as thyroid glands, mammary glands, parotid glands, testicles are required to be done in color Doppler ultrasound system. This system is extremely valuable in diagnoses on malign tumors. Moreover, some abdominal examinations such as tumor, obstructive jaundice, cirrhosis, extrauterine pregnancy, vascular disease are generally suggested to be done in color Doppler ultrasound system.

For example, when deploying the FDC6000 and FDC8000 color Doppler ultrasound system in diagnoses on cirrhosis, better judgments can be made based on the sizes of various hepatic vascular lumens, the velocity and direction of internal flowing, and the modeling of collateral circulation. While tuberous sclerosis and diffuse hepatocellular carcinoma are hard to distinguish in black and white ultrasound system, they can be identified and diagnosed by using high-frequency detections and blood flow spectrum detections.

As to renal diagnosis, the color Doppler ultrasound system is mainly applied in renal vascular disease like renal arteriovenous fistula. For those patients with intermittent and painless hematuresis, it is a preferred solution. Generally, the color Doppler ultrasound system can clearly diagnose renal artery stenosis which is one of the common pathogenies of secondary hypertension.
